Applying The Behavior

All that is left for us to do is to apply the behavior and tell it when to trigger.

  1. Select the <body> tag.

  2. Add the "Show/Hide Layer" behavior by clicking the "+" button in the Behaviors Panel (Windows» Behaviors) and selecting it from the list.

  3. Then select the layer you want to hide.

  4. By default it should apply this behavior onLoad, but just in case it doesn't, we can manually set it by select the behavior's event and use the drop down to change it like you see here:

Note: The page is a little large at 55k, but I wanted to make sure that even on cable modem you would get to see the "Mask" at work.
